We have been using the word “World of Walker” for a really long time. GQ: Could you tell us a little about the thought behind your latest album, “Different World”?ĪW: This album stands for a concept change. GQ: So who's the next person you want to collaborate with?ĪW: My dream collaboration would be with Hans Zimmer. GQ: Doesn't that mean that anybody in the world could make music and put it up? Doesn't that lessen the chances for someone to really make it big? Moreover, there's new music being released every day, so there is a constant stream of music being uploaded which is all just as easy to listen. Also, with these platforms, an abundance of music is just a click away. If you think about it, that's millions of streams instead of millions of sales of CDs. Even if you go on YouTube today, you will see millions of people streaming what I create. GQ: How much did the internet impact your career? Do you think if we were still in the era of using CDs or cassettes, would you be where you are?ĪW: I think that my success is a testimony to change of the market, where we stopped using CDs and moved over to music platforms. I have always been a nervous person, but I'm used to it now. Back then, if you gave me a piece of paper and told me to say that on a stage in front of a crowd, I would be completely different than I am now. I'm not somebody who likes being in a spotlight. I was nervous because I had never done anything like that before and it was really scary to stand in front of such a big crowd. Looking back, that was kind of a horrible choice to make, but it was a really good experience.

The show at X Games in Oslo, I got kind of drunk before going in for the show because I was nervous as it was my debut show. GQ: What was it like to perform at the Winter Games in Oslo?ĪW: It was quite an experience.
